This week with 1940s being the wedding gown inspiration for affordable vintage style wedding dresses under $1000 it really did become a mission impossible! I did have my suspicions that this would be the case as the 40s / WWII style is something that hasn’t really come back in vogue lately (although it made a huge comeback in the 80s with much of the 80s being inspired heavily by design features of the 1940s). 1940s wedding dresses

I did however find a few lovely gowns which are somewhat inspired by the 40s which would make lovely options for those planning a war era wedding.
