Gestational Diabetes in Pregnancy (GDM)

Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) affects approximately 9% of all pregnant women. It is defined as high blood glucose levels during pregnancy in a woman with no history of diabetes. Women who are already diabetic prior to getting pregnant or high risk of diabetes should be more cautious as the chances of gestational diabetes is higher.
